Eligibility
No Interest Loans for essentials are up to $2,000 over 24 months and a credit check is not required.
To qualify for a NILs for essentials loan:
- have a Health Care Card / Pension Card OR
- earn less than $70,000 annual income (before tax) as a single person or $100,000 annual income (before tax) if you have a partner or children OR
- have experienced family or domestic violence in the last 10 years
- AND you can show you can afford to repay the loan

No Interest Loans are designed to help you access essential items and services and give you what you need without turning to high-cost credit or payday lenders. You can not get a NILs loan for the following:
- Cash
- Rent payments
- Existing debts
- Everyday bills(including utilities like gas, electricity, water)
- Holidays
- Day to day expenses(Groceries, petrol)
- Rates
- Fines
You may be asked to provide
- Identification - 100 points of ID(such as a Driver’s License or Passport, Medicare card or Health Care Card, bank card or bills, something to verify your address)
- Proof of incomebank transactions and / or Centrelink statements and / or payslips
- Information that helps us determine you can repay the loanbank transactions for all accounts and any other information on existing debts and bills
- A quote or invoice for the item or servicethe supplier’s details (business name, ABN, address, phone or email, banking or payment details), and the payment amount including delivery
